U.S – Neogen Corporation, a global leader in food and animal safety solutions, has announced the appointment of James Walter to the position of Vice President, Global Operations.

In his new role, Walter will be responsible for leading and managing Neogen’s global manufacturing and logistics functions, contributing his extensive experience in operational excellence to drive efficiency and growth.

Walter brings a wealth of experience to Neogen, having spent the majority of his career at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and its predecessors.

In his most recent role as Executive Director of Manufacturing Excellence, he played a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s specialty generics business and overall plant operations.

His expertise spans various operations disciplines, where he spearheaded initiatives to drive operational improvement, integration activities, and support growth initiatives.

Prior to his tenure at Mallinckrodt, Walter held key positions in the clean energy industry, serving as Senior Vice President of Operations and Engineering at Tinuum, and as Vice President of Operations at Catalent Pharma Solutions. His leadership was instrumental in stabilizing and expanding the companies’ operations on a global scale.

John Adent, President and CEO of Neogen, expressed enthusiasm about Walter joining the company’s leadership team, citing his extensive operational knowledge as a significant asset.

Adent highlighted Walter’s track record of excellence in operations and supply chain management, which aligns well with Neogen’s commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to its customers.

Walter’s background is distinguished by his academic achievements and military service. He graduated with honors from the United States Naval Academy with a degree in mathematics and engineering, subsequently serving as a nuclear engineer in the Navy.
