U.S – Ecolab Inc., a global leader in water, hygiene, and infection prevention solutions, has announced the appointment of Judson Althoff, Microsoft’s Chief Commercial Officer, to its Board of Directors.

Althoff will join as an independent Director and contribute his expertise to the Audit and Finance Committees.

“Judson’s global leadership, sales, business, and executive experience in high tech make him an excellent addition to our Board of Directors,” Christophe Beck, Ecolab’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, expressed enthusiasm about Althoff’s appointment.

Dave MacLennan, the lead independent Director for the Ecolab Board, echoed Beck’s sentiments, highlighting the Board’s commitment to delivering shareholder returns and the value of refreshing the Board’s composition with relevant expertise and experience.

Althoff, age 51, brings a wealth of global executive and technology experience to Ecolab. As Microsoft’s Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, he has played a pivotal role in driving the sales strategy and revenue growth of the company’s commercial business across various sectors and regions.

His leadership has contributed to Microsoft’s sustained growth in commercial cloud revenue and the development of new technology innovations.

“I have seen firsthand how Ecolab works to help its customers achieve their business and sustainability goals by leveraging its unique global expertise and digital technology, so am honored to join the company’s Board. I look forward to working with them to capture new growth opportunities and extend Ecolab’s track record of success,” Althoff commented on his appointment.

Althoff’s experience prior to joining Microsoft in 2013 includes senior executive and sales roles at Oracle and EMC. He is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
